Nevada real estate CE requirements

Nevada continuing education is a renewal requirement for active licensees. Per the Nevada Real Estate Division, a subsequent renewal requires 36 hours every two years, and at least 18 of those 36 hours must be completed through live instruction. The required topics include 3 hours Agency, 6 hours Contracts, 3 hours Ethics, 3 hours Law and Legislation, 3 hours Risk Reduction, plus 18 general hours.

The live-hour rule is decisive: a fully self-paced online package can cover the 18 online-eligible hours but cannot satisfy the 18 required live hours on its own. A compliant package delivers the live hours through Nevada-approved live instruction (live-online or classroom) alongside the online portion.

Nevada provider coverage notes

Because at least 18 of the 36 hours must be live, the decisive question for every Nevada package is how it delivers the live hours. Four providers below bundle the full 36 hours (live + online) in one purchase: Key Realty School is the established Nevada-local school (30+ years) delivering the live hours in person or by livestream; OnlineEd pairs its online hours with live sessions run by Steven Kitnick Seminars; ceASAP bundles 18 live/Zoom hours with 18 online hours at the low end of the price range; and Kaplan delivers its live hours through approved live-online sessions.

Two national brands are shown for comparison but carry a caveat. The CE Shop sells only the 18 online-eligible hours — a valid Nevada product, but you must add the 18 live hours from a live provider to be compliant, so treat its price as the online half only. Colibri does not run its own Nevada courses; it routes Nevada students to Key Realty School, so its listing is the same coursework as the Key Realty option. For a single compliant purchase, choose one of the four complete 36-hour packages.

What Nevada agents say about renewal CE

Nevada agents say the half-must-be-live rule catches people who buy a cheap all-online bundle and then discover 18 hours do not count toward the live requirement. Agents who pick a complete package with the live hours built in, or schedule live classes early, avoid redoing coursework near renewal.

For the live portion, Nevada-local schools such as Key Realty School run live classes and also sell the online core, while national providers deliver the live hours via approved live-online sessions. Match the package to how you want to attend the live hours before you buy.

Real estate CE is a renewal requirement

Real estate continuing education is for active licensees who need renewal coursework. Provider approval, required topics, completion records, and reporting rules are state-specific, so the state page should be the primary place to compare CE options.

Use the provider table to compare package fit, current discount path, delivery format, and checkout price. Use the state requirement sections below to make sure the course category matches your renewal cycle before you buy.

Nevada CE renewal planning

Nevada real estate CE shoppers should start by matching the course category to the renewal cycle. Look for the exact hour total, mandatory topic mix, completion certificate rules, and whether the provider reports completion directly or gives you a certificate to keep with your renewal records.

Price matters, but renewal fit matters more. A lower-price Nevada CE package can still be the wrong purchase if it is missing mandatory topics, has a completion deadline you cannot meet, or does not match the license type you are renewing.

How to compare Nevada real estate CE providers

  • Check whether the provider sells a complete Nevada real estate CE package or only individual elective courses.
  • Compare final checkout price after codes, partner pricing, or course-category sales are applied.
  • Look at access length, mobile study options, support, certificate delivery, and refund rules before buying.
  • Keep CE separate from post-licensing, SAE, broker education, and pre-licensing requirements unless the provider page clearly labels the package for your exact need.
