This is a Texas real estate continuing education renewal guide for already-licensed sales agents and brokers. It is not Texas SAE, first-renewal, post-licensing, pre-licensing, insurance, or MLO guidance.

Standard active sales agent and broker renewal generally requires 18 CE hours: 4 hours Legal Update I, 4 hours Legal Update II, 3 hours contract-related coursework, and 7 elective CE hours. If a broker has made the licensee a supervisor, TREC says the 6-hour Broker Responsibility course is also mandatory as part of the 18 hours.
